China-ASEAN friendly cooperation and relations will be enhanced in an all-round way in 2012, for the year ushers the third decade of ASEAN-China dialogue relations and marks the 10th year upon the signing of the Framework Agreement on Comprehensive Economic Cooperation between ASEAN and China and also the Year of China-ASEAN Science and Technology Cooperation. Fueled by the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (CAFTA), bilateral cooperation in the fields like trade, investment and trade in services has been increasingly deepened and expanded. The 9th CAEXPO, with science and technology as its Theme of the Year, aims to further enhance China-ASEAN cooperation in science and technology and other fields.
